Good Day

Today was good day. Did some laundry and scrapped. Had to re-do a title on a page to make it pop a bit, got that done. Needed to change some information in some journaling, got that done. And I got a page done too!!



















I started a challenge at sb.com "You Know You Have It" that embellishment that you just had to have, then didn't know what to do with it. The stickers on here were bought thinking that they would be great for pictures I hadn't even taken yet and then never did, because I bought a different gift!! These photos are from 2004 and had been put into the "Not Scrapping" box.



I used EK Sucess' border punch on the pattern paper:





I also used the same punch to creat the photo and page corners



I made the corners by
punching just one scallop














Then I placed the scallop on the corner and scored a fold




Then I simply fold the piece back, glued it down

Ah Sunday...

Today started out weather wise a bit like yesterday, dreary, wet, cool. But then the sun made a few appearances and the rain stopped.

We went to Sam's today to buy a new Mattress, but when we got there, we just couldn't bring ourselves to spend 4 or 5 hundred dollars!! So we ended up buying a memory foam mattress topper that is 2.5 inches thick, it was $100 and then we bought to nice pillows. Looking forward to trying it out tonight. Maybe my arms won't fall asleep, my back won't hurt and my hubby's neck and back won't hurt either.

Tonight for dinner we made Salmon, Fish is NOT something I am a fan of, but my hubby likes it, so I decided to give it a try. Well, my son is even less a fan. I got a text from him earlier that he was going to a friends for dinner. I figure he tested around until he could get an offer!! So, being the wonderful, loving and caring mom that I am, when his equally wonderful dad suggested that I call the parents of the friend he wanted to eat at and ask them to tell him they were having fish instead of waffles, I got all over that. Well, they just called and told me what they did. Theytold him they were having crabcakes and how many did he want. He stutterd around a bit then said I don't know, 1, maybe two. How big are they? Then they told him that they were made like waffles, but had the fish in them!!! Then for the ultimate zinger, they put DJ on the phone and I said "Gotcha!!!". His response was got me what? I told him they were having waffles, not fish. He told me he thought was ironic that both houses would have fish, then he said he was hanging up on me!! PRICELESS!!!

Scrapping Roll this week!!

I got FIVE pages done this week! That is a lot for me, really!! I used my newest Slice Cartridge - Under The Sea - a great cartridge for beach goers, snorklers, Scuba Divers and water lovers!

This layout is of a photo I took will diving in Aruba. I really love how the bubbles are coming out of the smoke stack.




In order to help the little Octopus POP I chalked him and then gave him eyes so he could see - lol. And I backed the eyes with blue.

Finally got the kitchen finished!!

I think I posted some pics awhile back off removing the ugly wallpaper. I really love how it looks now!

Oh Rainy Day

It's was a cool, rainy, dark and dreary day today. The kind that you just want to stay in bed all day or on the couch curled up in a blanket and read or sleep. We made our usually dump run and got lottery tickets, hey can't win if you don't' play.

Got a layout done today for a challenge. Couldn't find patterned paper that would work, so I made my own! One strip I used stamps, really cool ones actually. The circles fit inside each other, so you can customize them. The other strip of paper I used stickers to create, I really like how it came out...



That's about it for today.

Why do I need a title??

I really don't have a particular thing to call todays entry...why do we need those anyway??

Yesterday I finally started exercising again, I know, bad word...I should wash my mought out with some Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate. Anyhow, I bought that EA Sport Active for the wii. After yesterday's workout, set on easy, I thought, this is nothing, I'm gonna have to bump it up to moderate. OMGosh!! I'm a hurting tonight!!! Thank goodness it let's me rest tomorrow..lol.

Today my goal was to do two layouts, one being for a Page Maps challenge on SB.com the other was going to be a 2 pager for my book of me. Well, I cut this cool snowflake background out with my Silhouette, knowing that I would have to take the time to poke out a lot of the small pieces. However, I did not realize that that time would be close to 2 hours!!! I know this because I went through 2 episodes of "Dead Like Me". Here is the pile of little bitty pieces I had to poke out

Then I had to also cover part of it up for the journaling, I tried using a transparency, but you just couldn't read the journaling.

Where was I going!?

So today I decided I needed to get out of the house, I haven't gone anywhere since Thursday and that was to buy groceries. Oh, I did go to the dump Saturday. We do that up here, almost no one pays to have their trash picked up. It's actually called the transfer station, but hey a horse is a horse, an apple is an apple and the place I dump my trash is a dump. Anyway, I went to a Target that I don't normally go to, it's a little further away and newer and bigger. But, it's been so long since I went there I forgot where to turn and ended up on the toll road and about 15 miles away from where I wanted to be!!! So it took me twice as long to get there as it should have.

Did find some neat 99 cent scrapbooking embellies in their little scrapbook section. And they were actually scrap brand name stuff!! Colorbox. Then I just wandered around and looked at stuff.

And the really good news is, I managed to get myself back home!!
